The first date is something that every individual looks forward to and never forgets for a lifetime. If you are able to understand well about it in advance and prepare yourself in the right manner, you can be sure to proceed with the relationship and make the date your best memory.

What should you do on a date?

One of the best dating activities during your first date is a dinner in a very quiet place with lots of privacy. Perhaps a candle light dinner would add more romance to the situation. You can choose a good restaurant that offers you services to personalize the entire setting with specific decorations, candles, a special message card etc, all of which would surely impress your date. 

You may even choose to go gallery hopping, which is considered to be the ideal activity for couples all year round. Unlike museums where you have to move through a crowd, you can enjoy top-notch art for free if you choose gallery hopping, and conclude the date by visiting a date bar and gulping down a few cups of your favorite beverage. If you choose a date bar that doubles up as one of the city's music venues where jazz and other musical performances take place, you would be able to make your date all the more special.

You may even do it all with a difference and choose an unknown restaurant or date bar that have some  unusual elements to surprise your date, and yet offer you the perfect excuse to talk and know each other better. After all, making your date feel that you have brought him/her to a special place meant just for him/her would be a great ice breaker and can make a big difference to how your day proceeds.

If you and your date have a penchant for culture, you may even check the city’s theater and art performance schedule to take your pick. You can always take a walk down the city’s famous streets after the show and grab a bite at the roadside stalls. In case you are not ready for a full sit down dinner, you can head straight to a bar that serves delicious cocktails, nice Italian wines, or other beverages of your date’s choice to wrap up the day on a promising note.

There is no end to the list of first date romantic activities that you can indulge in as long as your creativity and excitement is alive. Just remember to make the other person feel welcome and respected, and ensure that s/he has a good time in your company.
